Happy 4th Birthday, Bella Anna!

She’s FOUR now…… What a great day we had. She wanted to go out to “chips and salsa” to eat, so we did. They sang Happy Birthday to her and brought her a dessert. At home, she got a cake and a 4 wheeler to drive in the garage. I’m so proud of my baby girl!

HAPPY Birthday Bella Anna! I can’t believe all of your birthdays are so close together. Love you guys! I can’t believe she is 4. An older woman for Seth! Haha!

Our Adoption Process

6-07-08 Welcome Home! Big welcome from family and friends at the airport, Thank You!

6-07-08 Andrei and Anna officially become United States citizens

6-03-08 "Gotcha Day" for both Andrei and Anna

6-01-08 Headed back to Moldova for trip #2 to bring Andrei and Anna home!

5-14-08 Received form I-171H in the mail. This is permission from the the United States to bring them into the country. This took 13 weeks 6 days to receive after our fingerprint appointments.

5-09-08 The kids legally become ours as per the Courts ruling in Moldova.

4-19-08 Return home from Moldova, (1st of two trips)

4-18-08 Court hearing in Moldova which ruled in our favor for the adoption. 20 day waiting period for the adoption to become legal.

4-12-08 Travel to Moldova to be united with the kids and court hearing (1st of two trips)

3-30-08 Received referral pictures.

3-27-08 Received referral call today! Exactly 4 months ago application submitted. Exactly 28 days ago dossier mailed.

2-28-08 Dossier sent to our Adoption Agency in North Carolina

2-07-08 Had fingerprint appointmet today.

1-14-08 Home study complete! We were approved for up to 3 children.

1-3-08. Final phase of our home study today. Julie our social worker visited our home and all went well.

12-20-07. 2nd Visit with Social Worker today.

12-19-07. Mailed form I-600A today to Memphis. This is the paperwork that will approve us for inter-country adoption.

12-06-07. Officially started the home study today. Had our first meeting with our social worker.

11-28-07. Our Passports arrive in the mail. We're ready to travel!

11-27-07. Sent application to Carolina Adoption Services. Our Journey Begins!
